I didnt give it 5 stars took off one star only because some of the authors word choices and phrasing werent as good as they could have been at a few spots on the book

First of all in my opinion a faint cold fear was not exactly gripping right out of the gateand when one considers the shocking brutal attack on saras sister tess during the opening pages that is saying a lot

It never occurred to me until just recently that the author created strong female leads in both of her book series that were the very antithesis of one anothersara and lena in the case of the grant county books

The emphasis feels solidly on the character of lena adams for nearly the first quarter of the book

More specifically the novel implores the reader to remember the horror that lena was forced to endure at the sadistic hands and fiendish imagination of our devious sexual predator in blindsighted
