There are some slack periods early in the story, but once the main action commences the plot develops swiftly. One of the best developed plots in a well crafted book.

All of the characters behave like first-graders, pulling idiotic pranks. The text was inflated with too many things unimportant or not very related to the story line.

When you finally get to the courtroom drama, the author continues putting you to sleep with the boring jury selection detail and puerile thought processes of the lawyers. Perhaps interesting as a legal procedural, but goes on too long.
