Pros

This set in mahogany is stunning. This is one of the nicest chess sets i have seen for this price. Rounded edges really step the appearance up a notch.

The staunton style pieces are turned smoothly and are perfectly proportioned for the board. The finish is ever so slightly grainy in some areas but not in a bothersome way. The knights are my favorite, very nice carving compared to typical stauntons.

Magnets hold well, without being overly strong. Hold through shaking and tilting even up to 45°. The clasps seal securely.

Chess pieces are easily stored inside the folding board. It’s a plus that there are checker pieces too for those that prefer that game. Our only complaint is that we have to empty the checkers out everytime we want to play chess.

Cons
