This chessboard is such an excellent work that it overshadows its flaws. The board is immaculate and smooth. This is my home board so i have no intention of toting it around.
All of the pieces are inside the case in a red velvet-lined piece tray. The latches have the logo emblem on them that you snap open/close. The case is lined with expensive-feeling fabrics and this is made from real wood.
Very well executed and will last as a gift for my son for decades. It's really beautiful and travels easily too. With top notch finishing and attention to detail, this is well worth the price!

Packaging/appearance
The packaging is quite nice including a nice black felt case with velcro closure as per the ad photos
Once i pulled it out of the box i got a luxurious feeling
I received the outer packaging sealed the felt bag the board and the pieces

The set comes in a highquality velvet pouch
It is also in a very giftable box

When this chess set arrived when i unpacked it and looked at it i decided that rather just keep it out for us to use right away im putting it away for a christmas gift for her

Based on other reviews it does appear that i may be missing all of the documentspapers that others have had included with their sets which is disappointing
