Pros

They are slanted to hold the spring perfectly. Sturdy and usable over and over. Good value for the money.

Used an impact gun to compress old man emu 2887 springs to put on bilstein 5100’s. The blocks that grab onto the coils are steel with a rubberized coating. Safety pins on each end that prevent the spring from coming out of the compressor.

Replaced the struts on my saab, easy sweet process. Worked fine. Never slipped or had any issues at all. No issues with the strut mount.

Cons

Tried to change springs on 2007 nissan pathfinder. Didn't really compress much on springs. Bent on the first use. Was sent to me incomplete and useless.
