Cons
On my mini-lathe, only trivially small diameters are near the center height. Because the parting tool angle is not horizontal, the cutting point raises as the tool is extended from the holder. Didn't fit my lathe without extensive modifications.

Therefore i cannot install the oxa type post unless i open up a recess hole under the flat plate to fit the base of the carriage
