I dont like the metal pen holder it just doesnt look right and my pen kept moving around so im going to engrave it and give it to my grandson to use as a money clip

Also it would have been nice if the compass bookmark was metal instead of plastic but i think ill replace it with something nicer

The leather is soft the paper medium weight and it even has some plastic sleeves for stashing stamps or the random picture

Update i returned this because the included pen holding metal thing was not working out and it was difficult to secure a pen

Im not quite sure what the metal clip is for but it is not unattractive

The little strap to keep it closed slides in and out easily but not so easily that it accidentally falls open
