It wont hold its edge the longest but if you hone it and strop it the edge can be brought back fairly easily

Aus10 wont chip as easily as vg10 and feels less dainty as a blade

Yes the blade is thin but one should know that when buying a japanese knife that isnt even advertised as western style even though it does share some superficial features like the handle
