There's a little pad that stops the clicking sound of the scissors, which is great, as that clicking noise sometimes causes anxiety in dogs.

I would not recommend using these if you are not used to grooming dogs and/or if you dogs are jumpy.

One complaint, the finger and thumb holes are small and a bit unforgiving.
