Its like an old time alarm clock but not as loud

You simply turn the dial and the indicator shows you the time remaining

The timer will not always activate if you set it for only one minute

Make sure you change the alarm setting to 1 min so it forces the kids to turn it off

Also we have it set for 60 seconds to ensure we respond to the alarm even if preoccupied or away from the stove at the time it goes off e seconds is a little too short but to shut off the alarm you have to pick it up turn the dial back out from zero and then back to zero
