I used to keep a towel wrapped around the handle of my pan when cooking now i just slide on one of the silicon handles and the heat isnt a problem
The pan handles are great for my cast iron skillets and although i havent had a chance to try out the other handle covers they look great too
I use the hot pads as trivets on my table and when i am canningeasy to handle and clean up spills
Used on my cast iron it still gets hot but makes the handle feel comfortable in my hand
