They stay lit up all night (particularly now with the time change and longer sunlight exposure).
I also recommend purchasing stainless steel rings, as the rings that come with the light set will rust.
Packaging/appearance
If you're going to do the same i suggest adding some silicone rtv between the lid and cap to keep rain from making it's way into the jar.

They are too dim to light up a large area but they are pretty

The solar parts are still plastic but one cant get away from that if you want solar

The white rubber seals dry out and are ineffective after about 6 months

When you first turn them on you might think they don’t work because light flicks on then stays off

If you put top in the jar it will pop and break like it did to me broke 2 jars so just lie it on top of the jar dont push the lid in all the way and the ring that hold the solar lid doesnt screw on the jar
