I repair clippers scissors and sharpen blades and sometimes use these on sharpening small scissors or vet surgery and bandage scissors

The diamonds are attached to a stiff steel disk so it works perfectly for my simple setup using an electric drill and an arbor

I bolted it next to a standard grinding wheel and use it often to sharpen knives scissors etc
