This is a personal preference but i deliberately look for this feature. Works as avertised.
Using this with my portable heater. If your extending an appliance (refrigerator) this is the item you need. It is being used as extension cord for a high wattage room heater.
It's not wimpy. Seems quite durable and sturdy.
Yellow cord and lighted end serve as helpful reminders. Light is an extra bonus.

I considered 10 gauge but too heavy weight wise for my purposes

Theoretically 12 ga copper should handle 20 amps but this cord specifically states 15 amps and i agree because of the 100 foot length there will be some voltage drop

When plugged in the end of the plug 🔌 stays illuminated showing that voltage is present
