Rubber o-rings between the tubes keep the pieces from slamming harshly against each other when you compress the monopod. The wrist strap has a plastic belt clip and is allowed to rotate around the shaft of the pod - i like it.

The black lug at the base screws up and down to control how much you can lean the structure useful for when youre stabilizing the rig with your two legs to make like a tripod

When folded the bottom part of the trifoot assembly has a rubber foot

The trifoot assembly detach from the monopod by rotating the red thing at the bottom leaving a screw stump at the end of the pod

Maybe 3pod should provide a small rubber foot accessory for when you want to use the monopod in this mode

The strap is serviceable but i threw it out and used an old one that is padded
