Pros
There is a learning curve. Often you have to stop whatever operation you're doing to manuever your work object and then go back to that operation.
The larger programmable * are nice. When making a drawing button1 is my smart dimension shortcut. When i'm in assembly mode, button1 automatically switches to my constraint shortcut.

Comfort wise, it is very ergonomic. The rubber like texture under the heel of my palm is nice and smooth. I see their newest model is a lcd screen, which is back lit - nice!
Cons
This device stinks. I'm on the verge of throwing the * thing out the window, stomping on it. These devices are far too expensive to be deteriorating into disgusting useless blobs of goo after 3-5 years of use.

Yuck. My educated guess is that 3dconnexion despises macintosh. Cannot install driver to make this operational.

Its great and with the keyboard feature its just 34awesome34
The majority of the time i use this mouse with bluebeam revu and it works flawlessly with the program
In the end i had to return it as it was not compatible with the main program i bought it for 2020 design
With the space mouse all of the programs i use behave the same

Its still baffling to me how much these devices cost

It works great and also it came fast in within a week all safety packed
Packaging/appearance
Once it begins to feel tacky use acetone or rubbing alcohol to remove the coating because it just gets worse
Competitiveness
The mouse is solid and has a highquality feel and function to it
Love this added functionality to the already seemless cad systems out these days
Maybe the company should consider taking special versions for 6dof games like star citizen maybe a 6dof joystick it would sell a lot
I just wish there was some competition or something because these devices have no business being as expensive as they are

Three suggestions1 each of the buttons should have backlighting not just the center joystick2 the buttons need improved location relative to the joystick relatively closer to the top of the joystick and in the case of the tight groupings more spread out

This device is ultra sensitive as well it does have plenty of settings for 34toning34 it down though

I would say though one thing about the 14 buttons is that they are pretty far from the directional knob and if you have smaller hands you cannot just click with your fingers you have to move your hand away from the knob
