I certainly hope these stew sustainably grown and harvested. The roughness/smoothness depends on how wet you get them. Despite it's appearance it is not too rough on the skin.
This is an all natural product that i used to remove dead skin and as a part of a body cleanser. They are effective on my forehead and facial to exfoliate and the pad feels slightly brittle.
They work really well, are hygienic and cost effective. These are much finer and thinner than other brands i bought. They have enough scrub to feel as if you have gotten all the dead skin and grime off your face.
The size is great because it fits in the palm of your hand. Very easy to slip into your travel make up bag. You can replace them as often as you want at pennies per pad.

These come in a small plastic sleeve and i actually counted because i couldnt believe it actually contains 36
As another reviewer stated there does seem to be an unnecessary amount of packaging at first
Im pleased with the loofahs themselves but peeved about the packaging
