Pros
The original battery connection is soldered in to the chip. Time will tell how long this lasts. I would recommend that the wiring bundle, on the new battery, be extended to assist in the problem.

Since the bose speaker is cast from aluminum its impossible to burn or melt it while using the soldering iron

However at 71 years i an not steady enough to unsolder and resolder in the new one
