In this case the threaded nut inside the knob is now made of metal replacing the original plastic that broke

The screw is out farther than it was so the knob doesnt sit flush with the rest of the washer

Our knob broke on our kenmore washer and this is not only a perfect fit but the inside is made of metal instead of the plastic that came factory with the kenmore

I seems to stick out a little further than the original but that may be just my faulty memory and it certainly does not affect the operation of the washing machine
