For a small cam the picture and video quality are pretty good clear enough for me to see who is the person on my video less then a few seconds delay too on the movement and night vision are nice and clear too day light obviously much better but i have seen worse night vision cam before

I put it on a window of out basement to check how effective it is or was it just smoke and mirrors when it says it can be set to detect movement on particular area of the view finder and for my case it set it up to detect movement along the pathway and road
