It's louder than the cheap recirculating unit i took out, but it's going to be. A lot quieter. The highest speed is aptly described as tornado speed and is loud but evacuates fumes very quickly.

Proline makes such a sleek and slim model. The hood works very well and improves the headroom over my range. The quality is also impressive and it's packaged extremely well and in a first class fashion.

The hood looks nice and gave me about on inch more space to work under the hood since it's slimmer than the unit i replaced. Mounting bracket for wall 2. Template for screws into overhead cabinet 3.

The kenmore was internally vented and relied on carbon filter inserts. Suction is excellent.

Seven months later. When i asked whether this was just a fluke (hoping to reorder and try again), i received the following this is how all of the 185 hoods will look. Very disappointed that this item was not properly inspected prior to shipping.

Seems unethical to me to send out defective products unless the customer tells you that they don't want a defective product. Sounds to my like they are just a company that accepts putting out a substandard product.
