I do advise wiping down any surface the sticky side touches

I have a air vent to cover i thought it would be adequate but as the strips are quite thin i had to put quite a few layers over it to secure the draft but however it makes the overall look a bit scruffy

Although this product has good adhesion its best to make sure that what it adheres to are clean and dry and it will give you excellent results
