Pros & Cons
Pros
Plastic is more sanitary than the fabric & velcro braces. The plastic is smooth and doesn't have sharp edges. They are a bit expensive for plastic (sterling costs about $22 versus the $7 for plastic) comfortable, they do the job!
This finger splint was recommended by my physiotherapist for a'mallet finger' it keeps me from triggering my thumb all the time. I also like that you can flip it upside down and you have half a size bigger because sometimes my thumb swells up a bit.
These splints are worn at night to keep me from clenching. Sometimes during the day if doing close hand intensive work. Instead of the bulky finger splint i had been using which fell off all the time.
Cons
These arent as advertised. Described as refill package of 5. They are flimsy and dont help with the curvature of the arthritis.
