Suddenly the operatives disappear but later they come back for the batteries and when they do miles attaches himself to one of them giving gwen the device to find him

The device tells her where to go by pinging at her and she winds up back at her earth and she goes to where the scorpion is and finds miles and the two try to fight their way out but someone turns on the device to send people to other dimensions and gwen and miles end up going through

They end up in a weird earth but use the device to beep their way through different earths trying to find their way back to her earth when the two get separated and gwen is left on earth8 with no device to get back home
