Pros

We're on a well and the water gets silty when it rains a lot. These do filter ou the silt without clogging and for me that's enough. I now use this in conjunction with a life straw container in the fridge.

These filters seem like a decent quality on the outside. They come as expected like clockwork with subscribe and save. These work better than the oem filter.

Cons

Water filtered through these smelly cartridges is not fit for human consumption. No specifications of filtering performance. This makes me suspicious that it doesn't meet the oem filtration spec.

The filter has no rating from the epa or nsf. I was tempted by the $2 coupon, switched to subscribe & save, and received a made in china knockoff.

I bought this product because it was the best deal for replacement filters

Need to run it slightly longer than brand name at first to clear out excess charcoal but otherwise works perfectly
