They sounded terrible going up and down so i tried wd40 which i later read is not good for that type of application

This caused a few times where the door was left open all night or we found it open upon returning home after leaving the house as the garage door was closing and not waiting for it to close all the way

I lifted it too much and beyond its designed travel distance and cheap plastic parts came apart and made it impossible to use one of the two cans

It stopped almost all of the noise my garage door made
