In our house, this works great. My wife also keeps a complete set of cables & wall blocks in a mesh zip bag for when she travels.

It is a 10 foot cord so it extends out pretty far. And the 10 foot length is nice for hotels which may not have power outlets near the bed side table. The length is also fantastic. You have some ability to move around while still charging.
