Id had one installed earlier and the workmen just sawed a slot in the curb for the drain than then concreted over the top

I had to cut part way and then chip out the inside before finishing the hole

I used a small drill went slow and used water for cooling

After drilling to limit of the bits depth i chipped out concrete and finished the hole

One thing that helped avoid binding and kickback i continuously wobbled the bit as i drilled

This also made the concrete plug slightly cone shaped and it chipped out easily
