There is no odd smell or weird fabric no weird seam stiching it truly is a great jacket the only thing i didnt like is the way the flaps lay over the chest when it is not zipped but after time i think they will stay down because i would fold them over instead of close them over my chest when its open i see a decorative snap but i wish the snap was usable thats my only semi complaint
