Also my observation is that few sellers report actual measured lumens and many sellers simply report the maximum rating per chip multiplied by the number of chips

They have an aluminum heat sink cover on the reverse side which in addition to providing heat dissipation may provide some fire protection if the circuit board or chips should ever catch fire
