Pros

The uv light is a great extra. This was set up in a 55 gallon rectangular. Each extender adds about 10cm (4 inches) i wish the outflow setup allowed a 90-degree turn.

The plastic (imo) seems a little flimsy, but not unexpected for the price. The only difference seems to be it is a bit noisier. We're talkin' a tank that's been running for a couple of years.

Water is crystal clear thanks to the multistage physical filtration as well as the uv filter. Fish can now use all of the 125g instead of cowering behind plants/hard scape. Chamber setup and bacteria load it key.

Unboxing and installing the bulb was fairly straightforward. Priming is easy and the tube quick disconnect is a great feature. Follow the instructions for how to start your cannister filter without priming.

Cons

The outflow holes in this model are considerably larger than the cascade. Since it runs literally to the bottom of my 40-gallon breeder tank, the openings for the outflows are toothpick size, and they would easily become clogged. The impeller was scal... Read More

The instructions are terrible. The instruction manual very vague. If a mistake like this can be made then who knows what else is * up.

This only comes with styrofoam sponges. It looks like the uv light also dissolved the mesh bag holding the activated charcoal.

Product is defective. It has a known defect. Clearly this unit had not been tested or turned on & off before being shipped.
