Pros & Cons
Pros
James the owner is also a kind man who sent a replacement immediately when there was a issue in transit and he is also passionate about his coffee. The customer service was excellent, the phin is stainless steel and very good quality.
Well-made, it works like a charm. I make coffee using this filter about 3-4 times a week and have yet to encounter a problem. Kindly support good folks like him.
Cons
Water rushes right through instead of actually brewing. Coffee drips too fast.
The idea is sound but the 11 ounce spreader is too small. The grounds float up around the filter tamp.
Not happy with the product. Kind of a bummer. Not sure. This is horrible.

Original review per some older reviews the gap between the gravity press and the side walls of the phin is very large and as soon as you add water the grounds float up around the edges

Id recommend avoiding the 11oz size and sizing up or down or opting for a screw down version

The press that is supposed to hold the coffee in place so a slow brew can take place is machined too small so all the coffee just slips right past
