Pros & Cons
Pros
No problems. No breakage. Will buy again. Brought as spares.
They definitely sound brighter and were straightforward to use during the actual re-stringing. Stay in tune well following initial stretching. Good clear, bright sound.
Very responsive, nicely balanced, no problems with tuning. Doubtless better strings exist at a price, but these are no slouches.
Very very competitively priced. Great sound quality and packed very well.
The d'addario strings are the best i've had in years. Only downside is the loops on the e and a strings were not large enough to go over the larger than normal pins on my old neapolitan bowl back mandolin i was renovating.
Cons
Both sets of the d'adagio strings are now in the bin. Easy to see rust on the surface.

The strings are lovely and bright but despite restoring and its first stringing for at least ten years slowly bringing up to tune the first of the e strings threw its hand in could happen to any set of strings i replied to the sellers follow up email colin saying how good the strings sounded and with the tale of my snapped string and they are sending out an e string as a replacement nice touch and decent customer service 🙁 however colin had overlooked the string and after later reviewing my review realised and sent me some more strings greatly appreciated thanks

The loop ends instead of guitar like reels was resolved by feeding them all through a thick paper clip
