The insulation around the clips are very slippery so when you open the jaws the bits inside the insulation that you are pressing keep slipping so it takes a bit of getting your fingers just right to keep the jaws open long enough to clip onto whatever

My second point is the wire is very thin

I did not see the gauge mentioned in the description but it is extremely thin id guess 18gauge or a bit thinner
