Pros & Cons
Pros
It helps to keep the soil a good draining soil. It prevents compaction and overwatering which result in root rot. My succulents and other house plants love it as well! Great for amending the potting soil for my houseplants.
Only drawback is there seems to be moisture in the bags of pumice. There was no dust whatsoever. There’s a little inevitable staining in the more recent pic because of the soil below the top layer when watered.
The pumice is already pre-sifted and clean, so i don't have to. It looks really nice as a topper and was reasonably priced. No one has a better quality or consistency than bonsai jack.
Cons
Was planning on using this mostly as a top dressing for my succulents. As you can see in the pictures, it’s dark grey and dirty. Definately wont be buying again.
Highlights
Quality
I am very pleased with the quality of the pumice and plan to order more
I use bonsai jacks pumice and lava rock to make my own diy lechuza pon and their quality is always unmatched
Docked a star because i found a much cheaper equal quality source also easily accessible online
Shipping
This was a fair price for the convenience of amazon shipping and my soil finally drains fast
This was good because any dust caused by grains rubbing together during handling and shipping would be suppressed by the residual moisture
Packaging/appearance
Ive been impressed by the packaging always comes sealed commercial quality bagging and i get the advertised amount
