    I watched a you tube video or two which were only slightly helpful bad camera work and learned there are 2 clips that need to be removed from the old supports

    They are perfectly balanced when the hood is almost closed so its really easy to open but theyre really stiff when the hood is all the way up you got to pull down pretty hard to get it to close
