They secured to the window with no water on the suction cups

Unfortunately they do not fully cover the side windows in the front seats of my subaru outback because of the odd shape of the window

One problem that i did have however was that when my car got very hot especially on the side the sun was shining on the little loop on the suction cup would lose sufficient tension to keep the curtain on it thus negating its usefulness

It wouldve been ease if the suction cups were attached they keep pulling out every time u remove the screen

I found i only needed to use the 2 just make sure you have a good connection on the window or it will com flying off the window
