Pros

No more looking for cookware with 2 handles. They lock onto even aluminum pie pans well enough to lift a heavy meatloaf or somesuch. Clamping surface has silicone pads for grip.

Cons

These are so flimsy. The (poorly) attached silicon pads make most anything slip out and away… it works better without the pads… but then you risk cracking anything porcelain or glass. Rubber grips were broken upon reciept.

The fact that they cheapen this part is beyond me.

    Anyway before one uses them please make sure that the two plastic insulation inserts on the two sides of the tong do not stick together
