I had to use the inside cardboard of a toilet paper roll to block the light so we could drive the boat back to camp.

The clear lenses are polycarbonate, so care must be taken not to scratch them.

Update: seller contacted me and will refund 50% for the lantern that will not turn off.

One will not turn off at all, the other you have to slam the lid down hard in order for it to turn off.
