Following the method rag co guys used in their videos, i spread the towel out on the car's roof, and patted it down, then pulled it along the roof a bit and off.

This is one big towel, as you can see, it covers nearly half of my bed.

The only down side is it has a tendency to pull threads when wiping around panel gaps, so watch out for that.
