When i went to put the harness back onto the car seat i couldnt find the chest clip

The red clip is confusing to me i didnt receive instructions so im left to figure it out alone which is disappointing because in the picture it looks like it clips on the belts to prevent baby from escaping but i cant seem to get both belts in it
