Bought as a toothbrushing timer for my 4 yo. It's to help a child brush longer.
Sand timer is quiet and offers a silent alternative to a manufacturer's loud bell or buzzer when such sounds could be disturbing to others. Works fine although i've not tested it to see if it really is 2 minutes.
It is very durable and easy to use. It seems to be well made and sturdy. Quality is good. Seems very durable since it's made of plastic. Arrived a little late but no problem.
Cons
One side is 1 min 57 seconds which is excusable, but if you flip it, it’s 2 mins 28 seconds. This means you really need to turn it back over and wait 2. The timer stops intermittently and doesn't work. Constantly gets itself clogged.

I mean its ridiculously over priced to be completely honest i bought it for my step son since i was noticing he would brush his teeth in 3 seconds and think he brushed them good so far seems to have actually worked for him

Exactly two minutes but unlike the photo the unit received wasn’t an all plastic hourglass except for the sand but the more common glass hourglass inside a clear plastic sleeve with colored end caps glued on
