These are findable on ebay and thrift stores from time to time-- and they are excellent. The quality, the heft, the sturdiness of the terminals are impressive.

Volume control knob is a little funky starting but seems to be smoothing with use. During speaker calibration they sound just as good as my other speakers. More headroom, better dynamics and clarity.

It does what it is advertised to do. It's perfect for that. Does the job solidly.

I only wind up turning it through about 15 degrees to go from off to blasting-- but it does so smoothly and cleanly. The knob almost seems linear, rather than logarithmic.

Cons

Echo voice is muffled and there is a constant hiss. When not in use the power switch is off. It gives off occasional noises and the bass is just not there. The amp is to hot to touch.
