Update 832018 after 22 month of use player almost bricked becameunusable but i recovered

Symptom upon commanding the player to turnon it would say starting

I theorize the cause is the player was updating its flashnonvolatile memory when i yanked the battery out

The theory is thatthis left the flash likely the small part of flash that holds preferenceslike equalizer backlight color current position in song etc corrupt

Eventually for me it booted and not unexpectedly allpreferences were reset factory default

Original unedited review followspositives use as mp3 player only reviewed oct 2016 after 3 weeks use fidelity and volume are fine
