This product has worked just fine for me and i believe the people complaining about the audio noise and video quality are using cheap lesser cables

I myself am using component cables that are separated not a bundled cable with common grounds for audio and video like most cheaper trunk cables do these days which create ground loop issues

I will keep this post up to date as the unit has only been hooked up for a month and a half now but is working quite amazing with a single 20 foot component video run and a 40 foot component video run with no noticeable degregation in audio or video quality

Check your cables first component video signals are analog use good shielded cables not the budget bin ones

Before i got this i was running my retro consoles ps2 gamecube wii xbox via composite rca it looked like trash and wanted something better

People who have negative reviews on this unit either are using cheap analog cables or their consoles are in need of repairs

Instead this seems to have introduced ground loop humbuzz which isnt present when audio is directly connected even just using passive splitters
