I got this to store my 50000 macos photos library since the 256gb ssd in the macbook wouldn’t cut it anymore

And yes 1tb is a little small for storage these days but it suffices for a laptop backup or storage expansion

I do a lot of amateur video editing and i didnt want to pay the premium price of getting a larger internal hard drive on my mac mini so i saw that you could keep your imovie library on an external drive and thought this might be a convenient and more costeffective solution

Yes it is warm when in use for a while but i would not describe it as hot like some other reviews have done
