Pros

Strong recommend. Very happy. And this vendor obviously understands the terminology.

Card was recognized immediately on first boot. Only minor issue is that the card is not perfectly shaped, causing it to lift a bit out of the pcie slot when you screw it into the case.

This is my first-time using pass-thru connectors, and i have mixed feelings. They are more expensive than some others that are available, but i know these will work perfectly, especially with a same brand crimper.

Cons

Straight garbage. Card works, but the low profile they sent is a blank plate. But it’s just loosely hanging out the back of my case.

The network card performed flawlessly with pfsense and i was able to configure two laggs with lacp support

The insulation is held tightly in place the crimp felt secure and the passthru wires were cut perfectly flush

While they didn’t cost much they were very soft and fit okay

I havent had a chance to fully test it yet but if it works correctly this is a good value

Threw in an order and 2 days to my doorstep and volia

Although it was shipped with a driver cd a nice touch

The gigabit pcie nic with intel 82574l chip arrived in a box inside a clamshell plastic case

Competitiveness

We needed 34bigger pipes34 for concurrent file access on our peer workstation that hosts most of our common files

They are more expensive than some others that are available but i know these will work perfectly especially with a same brand crimper

One to a cisco managed switch and the other to my cable modem sb8200 but i’ll save those for a different review

Since its running an intel chipset it doesnt suffer from the hyperv broadcom chip flaw that remains unpatched by microsoft
