Pros

The triple eights are more comfortable but the 187's offer more protection as the splint on the top of the wrist is more sturdy. I like the velcro straps as they allow adjusting tightness. These are the one piece of gear i will never skate without.

The hard, bent piece of thick plastic that covers the palm area is the key. The embarrassingly * labels are easy to remove without compromising these high-quality wrist guards.

Wrist guards barely show any sign of damage after fall impact and scraping along the ground. Protected me in circumstances i'm certain would have others caused wrist fractures. After 3 months and several hard falls, i am sold on these wrist guards.

Cons

Not as comfortable as the rollerblade brand. It just makes the guard looser. Once i flex my wrist the velcro gives way and pops undone.

Thumb holes are the same size on both the s and the m. Even loosening the straps doesn't help, because is does nothing to change the thumb hole size. These must not have been inspected when they were packaged. Sizing chart on this page (which is the s...  Read More

I should have been comfortably in the medium and while they did fit returning them and sizing up was definitely the right call

Because the handlebar pushes the curved splint back toward the palm when resting weight on them the thumb hole material pulls tight between the thumb and index finger and fatigues the thumb muscle

Posted by a reviewer on Amazon

Have to try and not flex the thumb muscle and just let the strap dig into the webbing between the thumb and index finger which isnt bad with gloves on

Obvious by the heavy scratches on the plastic
