I use it for felling and splitting on a small scale very nice craftsmanship just need to get the leather grip for under the head the way it is attached is a bit rough on the hands without a glove

I took it out in the yard 20 minutes after ups dropped it off and put to to work on two knotty sections of a dying spruce i had cut down last spring

Using the old axe was like trying to fell a steel streetlight with a rubber mallet but this helko blew it apart on the first strike
