It pushes and holds up the trunk well and gives a smoothe close. Easy to install. Used for the hatch door on my snowmobile trailer.

Cons
Some vendors sell gas struts that can be bled, so they can be closed more easily. Removing the clasp doesn't hold the ball in. Their website is even very poor.

The gas struts that came with the trash hide were not strong enough after repeated use and we had to use a broomstick to prop the lid up
So i installed one as a test so it lifted the top and stayed up but after a few days it wouldnt stay up
